'that white people, and black people... and even chinese people, can gamble together, without getting different chips!!!'

i finally went around checking on bikes in pj, the first was Bike Pro in tmn megah and the service there sucked. i figured if i stood there and didn't say a word to nobody and if no one came, they must not really need my patronage....but the place does look very professional, and the clientele there, very experienced. it was a pretty unnerving experience (not sure why though). the second place i went to was KSH Bicycle, and the owner (maybe worker, i have no clue yet) was damn helpfull. and i realised that i am damn outta touch with bicycle technology. they have disc brakes now, which operates hydrolically, with oil. i was like :O... apart from that, it was pretty normal, carbon fibre frames and all (cheaper ones, aluminium). my original plan was to refurbish my old bike, but after asking advice from the proprietor, it's not feasible anymore. it would be more expensive to get good parts than to buy a new one. and this was what i was recommended.
pretty neat right? this is a bike from BH. it's called Sommet SLX. no idea what the hell, BH is a Spanish company. it's a mid range bike, and very tunable i suppose, so until i get more info, this is it. BUT. i do not have enough funds to see this through yet, and as such will need to work. i need to get about 3k. hmmm..we'll see.
i also discovered (might not be big news or anything but) Continental makes bicycle tyres. and i trust them enough with my car as well, so the stock tyres on this bike should be good enough for now. ;) i was actually contemplating between a full on mountain bike (the ones with a suspension at the rear as well) or a hard tail mountain bike (the ones without) and i think this is a good compromise as one day i'd like to go touring on a bike. :)
oh, and i finally discovered to embed stuff on my blog. it's, absurdly easy, go google it if you need help ;)
