when Hayley wrote this song, she was talking about divorce. to me, it means to fickle nature of human love. to me, it means that 'forever and always' does not mean forever and always, not literally. to me, emergency means why must we go down that path? why can't this be worked out? because really, somethings just can't. why? when we have in ourselves to be so great, so much potential, but somehow, we end up in pieces, with every piece missing, something dies, and you'd have to replace it or end up losing yourself along the way...
